Looks like you just need a normal LCD monitor, the only time when someone needs an HD monitor is whether they will play when you watch TV also has a tuner and advanced video and photo editing.

If they say to connect an HDTV screen, ie it is watching TV with a TV tuner for the receiver and connected. Therefore, it can be effective as a computer monitor and television are used. The built-in TV tuners are generally more expensive (50-100 euros), but no additional benefit in terms of image quality compared to the same monitor without a TV tuner.

All LCD Display is a new "HD" monitor. The "HD Quality" is a very vague and depends on the resolution. You can use a screen that has a resolution of 1920x1080, have (most of them) and that is exactly what most of the decisions of HDTVs size (and therefore the conditions of 720p or 1080p).

HDTV LCD typically has a resolution of 1366 x 768, while a widescreen 27 "LCD typically has a resolution of 1920 x 1200, even more so when an HDTV-LCD can not, as a low-resolution LCD monitor be used.
